How it works:
Hair is formed by an outer cuticle layer of keratin, arranged on each other, (usually 5 to 12 layers), with large amounts of cysteine, and an inner part called the cortex, which also contains keratin protein, but with a smaller amount of amino acid cysteine. The difference in the amount of these amino acids generates different electrical charges. A magnetic coupling occurring between the cortex and the outer layer is what keeps the cuticles lowered and aligned longitudinally.
